Racegoers at Naas have to wait until the penultimate race for the feature, the Listed Nas Na Riogh Novice Handicap Chase (16:50), as Shannon Royale attempts to bounce back to winning ways after pulling up in the Thyestes last time out.

Elsewhere on the card, the Grade 3 DAR Golf Newlands Chase (17:20) represents a good opportunity for the Willie Mullins-trained Blood Destiny to get back on the scoresheet for the first time in nearly a year, but he has to concede 7lbs to four rivals, while Fleur in The Park leads the field on ratings for the Grade 3 Michael Purcell Memorial Novice Hurdle (14:50).

The Grade 2 National Spirit Hurdle (15:00) tops the bill at Fontwell as Nemean Lion bids to continue his cracking campaign by completing a hat-trick, but Salver renews rivalries from last month’s narrow defeat at the Berkshire Winter Million and could benefit from a swing at the weights.

There is also Jumps action at Hereford.
