13:15 Haydock – Naval Power

Naval Power for William Buick and Charlie Appleby should win – and his price reflects that!

13:45 Haydock – Bayside Boy

I’m taking on Reach For The Moon. I was disappointed with him at Ascot and he ran way below what his rating is. I’m siding with Bayside Boy, who has blinkers on for the first time.

14:05 Kempton – Gear Up

I’m going with Gear Up but it’s not a mad strong fancy. He beat Cleveland over 1m4f at Leopardstown on his last start and Cleveland of course won the Chester Cup. Gear Up could be of interest because Joseph O’Brien isn’t bring him here for a holiday.

14:20 Haydock – Irish Lullaby

I like Jessie Harrington’s Irish Lullaby, who has won at Sligo, Killarney and Galway since May. She’s on a three timer coming into this run. She battled really well at Galway last time out and she won despite not getting the run of the race. Frankie Dettori is on board too.

14:40 Kempton – Spirit Of The Bay

I’m going for Spirit Of The Bay for Rossa Ryan and Clive Cox. She got in front too soon at Sandown last time out but she has won at Kempton twice before.

14:55 Haydock – Contact

Soulcombe bolted up in the Melrose at York last time out but he’s risen up to an official rating of 97 for that. He may still be well in but I’m going to take a chance on Contact. He won here off 90 back in May and he also had a solid run at Ascot in June. He didn’t get the run of the race at Newmarket last time out so I’ll forgive that.

15:10 Ascot – Accidental Agent

I’ve landed on Accidental Agent at a big each-way price. He ran a cracker in the Victoria Cup off a mark of 109 and he’s back down to that mark now. Aratus, River Nymph and Dance Fever also have a chance over that side.

15:30 Haydock – Castle Star

I’m going for Castle Star in an each-way bet but I have slight concerns about where he’s drawn. Brad The Brief could show a bit of pace over that side which could suit Castle Star, who has a chance at a big price. He ran well behind Perfect Power last year but he’s only had the one run this season. He will get the 6f so he’ll do me!

15:45 Ascot – First Ruler

I can see why Ryan Moore is on First Ruler, who has a good draw in stall nine. I don’t have a real pick but it’s hard to really go against him.
