14:00 – Hello Deira

Armed with his experience, the best form and a good draw HELLO DEIRA is likely to prove hard to beat under Ryan Moore. Renesmee is feared most. Cheveley Park entry Pinafore is bred to be quick but her low draw is far from ideal for a newcomer, a concern that also applies to the well-related Juryman.

14:35 – City Of Kings

All the newcomers, but especially Paddington, command a market check but two of the three with experience set a good standard. There was plenty to like about the debut effort of Onslow Gardens but CITY OF KINGS is preferred. He did well to finish as close as he did at Sandown after conceding lengths at the start and hopefully he will be wiser to what’s required of him this time.

WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

15:10 – Alseyoob

Red Riding Hood looks the part on paper and commands the utmost respect, for all that the yard’s 2yos are renowned for learning on the job first time out. Purple Love appeared to perform miles beneath expectations at Newbury and she can probably do better, while Dowally only narrowly failed to make a winning start at Kempton. However, even though a penalty asks plenty of ALSEYOOB, she did beat some promising subsequent winners on her debut at Newmarket and it’s likely that she failed to do herself justice when sent back there for a Group race. Red Riding Hood is second choice.

15:45 – Carolus Magnus

Andrew Balding would appear to be sitting pretty with the standout contenders. As he showed at the Shergar Cup, CAROLUS MAGNUS (nap) is not held back by his tough mark in these classified races and he can have the measure of stablemate Al Marmar, who has perked up in a big way since being gelded.

16:20 – Rebel Territory

Greatgadian was the most competitive of these last time out but form from the Shergar Cup can be flattering and the time before he was behind Bopedro (next best), who must have as good a chance on only his third run for David O’Meara. However, REBEL TERRITORY didn’t run too badly in Goodwood’s Golden Mile on ground bordering on the quick side for him and he’s probably the most progressive of these. Back at his favourite hunting ground, it would be no surprise should Raising Sand roll back the years.

16:55 – Miss Bella Brand

Rainbow Mirage is of interest on her stable debut and she has form that ties in closely with Alcazan and Port Noir. Torvi and Love Trophy Power also have claims but perhaps MISS BELLA BRAND will be the answer. She still looks to be on the upgrade and can gain her first turf success of the year.

17:25 – Majestic Fighter

There are distinct possibilities about the unexposed Midnight Moll and Love De Vega now they are returned to 7f but this could be the day for MAJESTIC FIGHTER who deserves to win again, having run two excellent races in narrow defeats this summer. Nasim failed to go on from a taking AW win in March but he can go well fresh and looks on a good mark for his new yard. King Of War is suited by a stiff 7f and could go well at a price.
