This looks tight between penalised Dixiedoodledragon and Don’t Fight It on their close call at Musselburgh but the former had to wait for a run before leading late and may be more likely to appreciate this stiff test than her speedy stablemate. Perhaps STORMY PEARL can beat them both, however, as she should be suited by a stiff test at this trip and has an easier task than when not disgraced at Nottingham recently.
17:15 – Glorious Rio
Canaria Prince can give another good account but there are several options in a wide-open race and he needs more if he is to take this under a penalty. The slow starts are not ideal for GLORIOUS RIO but he has never been better on turf than of late, following a wide-margin win over 6f here with a good effort under a penalty in a better 5f race at Haydock. High Security also makes some appeal, with Rhythm next on the list.

It could pay to side with one of the 3yos in this low-grade sprint with SYDNEY BAY looking to have a good chance on his best form and he is preferred to dual winner Hurt You Never. Tashgheel is so well handicapped that he is another worth considering.
18:20 – Farhhfromforgotten
A few interesting types in this novice contest in which FARHHFROMFORGOTTEN is taken to score on his second start having run very green on his debut. Coverdale and Nights Over Egypt look to be his main dangers.

18:50 – Chinese Spirit
Most of these are usually ridden with restraint and there’s a chance the race could become tactical, but CHINESE SPIRIT (nap)’s claims are still persuasive after an excellent second over 1m1f here last week. The main threat could come from Desert Land who made a winning start for Keith Dalgleish 11 days ago, although Thunderhill is still low mileage and may have more to offer and Mr Coco Bean has become very well handicapped.
19:20 – Invisible Friend
Kevin Ryan’s Sea The Stars filly INVISIBLE FRIEND made a promising start when third in a Haydock novice that has been boosted and she looks to have been found an excellent opportunity to open her account. Wolverhampton third Salve Japan appeals as the one to chase her home ahead of debutant Bobo.
19:50 – Cavendish
Although still a maiden CAVENDISH was threatening a breakthrough win before getting stuck in the mud at Catterick last time. Oh So Chic has made a good start with Ed Bethell and she’s feared most, along with the penalised Aighear.
