13:58 – THANKUAPPRECIATE

THANKUAPPRECIATE ran another solid race when filling the runner-up spot at Ayr last time, passing the post less than three lengths behind the winner and leaving the impression the run would bring him on again. He is certainly open to more progress than chief market rival Betweenthesticks, who is still a maiden after nine starts. It’s a weak contest full stop and Thankuappreciate rates a very solid selection to get off the mark at the fourth attempt.

14:33 – CLOCH NUA

CLOCH NUA took a step back in the right direction when second at Lingfield last time, staying on well to be beaten just a length. He is clearly on a good mark and the way he shaped there suggests this longer trip could eke out a bit more improvement. The booking of Andrea Atzeni also catches the eye, so Cloch Nua could be worth a chance to belatedly open his account in a wide-open contest.

15:08 – BASHOSH

15:08 – BASHOSH showed improved form when beaten just a short head at Newmarket earlier this month, sticking to his task well having been carried left entering the final furlong. The winner Dutch Decoy is in opposition again today, but Bashosh is weighted to reverse the placings and may yet have more to offer after just seven starts. This looks a good opportunity for him to regain the winning thread before a potential tilt at the Cambridgeshire.

15:41 – AL KARRAR

AL KARRAR shaped with plenty of promise when second in the Richmond Stakes at Goodwood last time, keeping on well from rear to pass the post just a length and a half behind the winner. That form comfortably sets the standard in this listed contest and the small ‘p’ attached to his Timeform rating denotes that he is likely to progress further. With the Tom Clover yard in good heart, Al Karrar is fancied to make it two from three before stepping back up in grade.

16:16 – JEWEL MAKER

JEWEL MAKER shaped as if still in good form when fifth at Lingfield earlier this month, doing well to be beaten less than three lengths after being forced to deliver his challenge on the inner. He certainly showed enough to suggest he is still on a fair mark and this looks a weaker race with just the six runners going to post. He is also reunited today with Sean Kirrane, who has been in the saddle for both his previous wins this season.

16:51 – NIGWA

NIGWA has gone close on both her previous starts at Nottingham, showing plenty of ability in the process. She was beaten just a neck on the last occasion, only losing out in the final strides having looked the likeliest winner for a long way (hit a low of 1.33 in-running). She remains a useful prospect and just a repeat of her first two efforts will give her every chance of getting off the mark in a maiden which lacks strength in depth.

17:26 – JUST HISS

JUST HISS caught the eye when filling the runner-up spot at Catterick last time, passing the post just half a length behind the winner and looking unlucky not to finish closer still after being caught further back than ideal. She is only 1 lb higher in the weights today and another bold bid seems assured for Tim Easterby, who is seeking his third success in this race since 2018.
