ITV Sunday gets under way here with a handicap over 6f. If the ground stays soft then PUNCHBOWL FLYER is on a very dangerous mark for Eve Johnson Houghton and Charlie Bishop. If it dries out then probably leave him alone. My hope has some decent Goodwood form including on the Stewards’ Cup and he’s a great big boy who just needs juice in the surface. Under those conditions he can bounce back to form.
14:05 Beverley – Broctune Red
ITV are also at Beverley on Sunday for this handicap over an extended 1m. BROCTUNE RED has run really well on his last two starts in decent fields at Thirsk and Wetherby and gets a good chance to get a win on the board here for Kevin Stott and Gillian Boanas.

This is a selling stakes for three-year-olds over a mile. JUST A TAD should stay this distance and has a rating which gives him every chance for Tom Marquand and William Haggas. He also has a recent win at Windsor to his name and not many of these like winning!
14:40 Beverley – Cappoquin
Another handicap but this time over 1m4f. Last chance saloon for CAPPOQUIN who has looked very moderate for Sir Mark Prescott so far. That said you just get the feeling the filly has more ability that she is showing and she won’t get a much better chance than this for Luke Morris.

Another handicap at this time over 1m2f. SAVVY VICTORY is not quite as good as connections had hoped but still has every chance here in conditions that should suit. He ran really well at Doncaster last time in defeat considering he stumbled badly at the start. Goes for Sean Woods and David Probert.
15:15 Beverley – Not For Profit
A nursery handicap for juveniles over 5f. Not a race I have a strong opinion on. I’ll go with NOT FOR PROFIT who seems to like winning and has shown a willing attitudes for David O’Meara and Danny Tudhope.
15:35 Goodwood – Happy Power
The feature of the day in the Group 3 Supreme Stakes over 7f. HAPPY POWER is not a horse I massively love but his fourth behind Sandrine in the Lennox here was a good run and he should have every chance for Andrew Balding and William Buick.
