WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

18:17 – Technical Analysis/Leminsta

The Ballston Spa shapes up to be a nicely competitive small field affair, however the warm favourite Technical Analysis is going to get the absolute run of the race, he will be allowed go coast to coast based on the fields run styles and should be followed home by Chad Browns’ other runner Leminsta. I’ll be playing the straight forecast here.

18:55 – Pipeline (Betting Without Jackie’s Warrior)

Jackie’s Warrior is one of the top stars of the US racing scene and I expect him to put on a show and I think that the run of the race will end up suiting Pipeline. I’ll be splitting my stakes between bettering Pipeline in the betting without Jackie’s Warrior and Pipeline in the betting without market.

20:52 – Accretive

The great people in the Paddy Power commercial department have opened up the generosity bag and given us a terrific offer of bet £10/€10 in this race & get free £5/€5 in the Travers Stakes and I intend to back the winners of both races.

Jack Christopher had all the vibes of the next Justify until he had a training setback and missed the classics. He came back and won a good Grade 1 and then stepped up to middle distance but got soundly beat by Cyberknife over 10f. He returns to 7f here and it looks like the Breeders Cup Dirt Mile will be his ultimate target for the year over the Classic.

He’s still the working man’s price here but the horse that I am happy to have an each way bet on against Jack Christopher is Accretive. He is an each way price and still wholly unexposed having race a very good second in the Amsterdam on only his second start and might lift the mood for his trainer Chad Brown.

21:32 – Letruska

Clairiere may go off favourite here but she is very much against the race bias which sets up strongly for Letruska. Letruska is a five time Grade 1 winner but is coming off the back of a heavy loss to Clairiere at Belmont. For me with the race to suit she, is my NAP of the card and can and will turn the tables on Clairiere.

22:05 – Broome

The Sword Dancer stakes has a history of being exported to Europe. Ryan Moore travels stateside in hopes of bringing the trophy back to Ireland for the Coolmore connections. Broome really hasn’t ran a big race since finishing second in the Breeders Cup last November but any return to that form is more than enough to win, and unlike all of Ballydoyles other stateside runners this year, Broome hasn’t been drawn in the car park.

22:44 – Epicenter

The Travers Stakes is the midsummer Derby and we are getting a fantastic clash of the Haskell winner, Kentucky Derby Winner and Kentucky Derby runner up. My money is on Epicenter. He was runner up in both the Kentucky Derby and Preakness having been sent off favourite in both races. He has had a comeback race when he romped home and I think we will see Epicenter emerge as the undisputed king of the three-year-old middle distance division.
