13:50 Goodwood – Fivethousandtoone
Surely FIVETHOUSANDTOONE can finally get that elusive second victory on the board and he looks to get a perfect show into the contest with some speedy tips lining up. He was far too free over an extra furlong last time and title chasing William Buick get to the leg out for the first time.
14:05 Beverley – Regal Mirage
It’s always important to have a bit of course form around this venue and REGAL MIRAGE has that. Added to that fact, he also has a pretty good record when second run off a layoff, ground conditions will be absolutely fine and surprisingly he has been eased back down to a competitive mark of just 73. The yard are hitting a real purple patch and all the runners are worthy of a second look.

14:25 Goodwood – Borntobealeader
Admittedly his last couple of races have not been that encouraging, but BORNTOBEALEADER returns to a trip that should play to his strengths and dropped down in grade having shown an excellent level of form at this track previously. Just a Tad will be all the rage as the team are in red hot form, but she is off a disappointing run when getting very upset prior to her race at headquarters last time.
14:40 Beverley – Cappoquin
Not one of the leading lights from the stable, however CAPPOQUIN does appear to have a little bit of wriggle room as her best performance so far was on her one and only try on the turf at Carlisle. She disappointed over further last time, but dropped back a quarter of a mile should help and she may well be seen to best affect dropped in and given a chance early on.

15:00 Goodwood – Al Mubhir
Bumped into a real red hot Phantom flight last time at Haydock with that runner now being elevated to a triple digit 108 rating. AL MUBHIR did well on that speed favouring track to latch onto the leaders heels when the race turned into a bit of a sprint and we can expect him to improve now going up in distance but retaining natural speed for a late thrust.
15:15 Beverley – Russet Gold
Is a full brother to a high-level performer Saint Lawrence and RUSSET GOLD is also not short on ability himself. Despite still being green and babyish at Pontefract last time, he opened up for a wide margin success – suggesting it won’t be long before he climbs the ladder out of the handicap ranks. 87 looks a very fair opening mark on a track that should suit, and he’s also drawn well to boot.
15:35 Goodwood – Double or Bubble
The last twice we have seen DOUBLE OR BUBBLE she has only been beaten three lengths in the Platinum Jubilee and July Cup – both at group one level. This is a significant shift down the ladder, and her class can count at this level. Misty Grey and Ever Given look the pace angles and our rider should be able to get a perfect tow in and pounce at the furlong marker, as she doesn’t do a lot when hitting the front.
