Sister Rosetta was a good second at the Curragh on Saturday and comes here in great fettle while the selection’s stablemate Dream Today will enjoy getting back on polytrack after struggling on turf this year.

DANCES WITH STARS‘ reliability here renders him more solid than recent form figures imply and his rider is good value for his claim. Ides Of August may show a bit more now.

This must rate one of the weakest handicaps run all year. Nothing appeals. A purely token selection is UBERRIMA FIDES on the basis that something has to win. The market is really hard to predict but he has shown some ability.
17:45 – Spirituoso
SPIRITUOSO looks the obvious one here and can reward her trainer for sending her out again so soon. A clear danger is Chateau Musar, though his Turf form has to rate a concern.
