Two bumper winners may dominate here. Slight preference is for the local hope DIXIE FLIER, a stablemate of the winner of the Kilbeggan maiden hurdle in which Old Bill Barley finished third after hanging to the left throughout. The Halley stable won this maiden with a Ballydoyle cast-off in 2019 and could go close now with former Listed winner Western Australia.
A half-brother to the talented Nicky Henderson-trained pair Might Bite and Beat That, BITE THAT is potentially well treated on his best maiden form. Admittedly that was evident over longer trips than this, but he has come down 15lb in the ratings and may be good enough to cope with the likes of former bumper winner Kinnegad Lad, C&D scorer Morepowertoya and three-time Flat winner Pak Army.
This looks the chance WALK ON THE MOONE (nap) has been waiting for and she should take care of business if on song. The Grey Monty can give her most to think about. Anyonecanhaveitall can fill the placings.
Going straight into a handicap chase after a breakthrough hurdles victory at Limerick GOLDEN SANDBANKS may keep up the good work. Recent Sligo winner has Red Striker has a similar profile and should go close. Several of these have shown a liking for this track, including Mater Matuta who ran in a stronger race here last time after beating Inagh’s Gift here in June.

Interesting little heat. Inclusion is respected after winning a Dromahane point-to-point and joining Willie Mullins. Hollymount is enjoying a cracking season and is likely to be involved on chase debut, but fellow chase debutante SIT DOWN LUCY is the selection. Peter Fahey’s team is in top form and she has run with great credit in some competitive hurdle races this season and was a good winner at Galway last time. The Forge Hill, Gonedairy and Influential Lady are others to keep an eye on.
Balinaboola Steel can be forgiven for his poor run at Galway and has saved his best form of late for fences. It would be no surprise if Twilight Girl bounced back from her Cartmel run given the form her yard is in, while Groveman is another who could play a part. But preference is for PAT COYNE, who won at this festival last year and should come on from his recent hurdles run to play a big part.
KATIE TAY was far from disgraced in the Land Rover Bumper and may not have to be out of the ordinary to land this. Princess Sophia looks the main danger, with Champagnesocialist not far behind. Kilbarry Lilac and Lady Of The Vale complete the shortlist.
