Horse Racing tips: A 4/1 shout tops our best bets at Tramore today

The Racing Post tipster likes Cluan Dara in the 17:20.

16:50 – Popong

She has run well in defeat in quality chases numerous times, including the Midlands National last time, so POPONG (nap) gets the vote to prevail. Bacardys was well behind her in that event but will have more room to organise his jumping today, so can get closer.

17:20 – Cluan Dara

Rule Of June has been in cracking form in point-to-points this season and looks more than capable of exploiting a chase mark of 83. Walking The Walk has ran some good races in defeat and the booking of Rachael Blackmore is a positive, but preference is for last year’s winner CLUAN DARA. John Ryan’s gelding bounced right back to form at Limerick last time and it would be no surprise if he followed up here. Magic Piper is another worthy of a mention.

17:50 – Ingenious Stroke

This looks like the chance INGENIOUS STROKE has been waiting for. He’s produced two good runs so far this season and the application of the tongue-tie and hood may eke out the improvement needed to land this. Doyenna is going the right way and she is likely to give the selection most to think about, while So Scottish and Wild Caprice complete the shortlist.

18:20 – Natural Look

Flying at the finish over C&D two starts ago, NATURAL LOOK was then unlucky at Cork but can make up for that by getting off the mark today. Secret Sea has been in good form on the Flat and is respected back over hurdles. Daisy Dufresne and Y Fyn Duw A Fydd are of interest.

18:55 – Dot Cotton

If French recruit Historique Reconce gets a run then she might not need to be out of the ordinary to land this on debut for Willie Mullins. The most likely winner looks to be DOT COTTON, who has shown plenty of promise in maidens so far. Susie Miller sets the standard on ratings, while Stellar Symphony should appreciate this trip. Fairland and Free View are others to keep on side.

19:30 – Yulong Voice

A trappy contest. The manner in which YULONG VOICE won at Limerick suggests the extra furlong here should play to his strengths and he appears to be a leading player off 5lb higher. Some Dove ran well at Downpatrick recently and should build on that, while Where’s Bunny is enjoying a good campaign. Bear Claws is in fine form over hurdles and is likely to be thereabouts, while Whatsstoppingyou can be forgiven for her Tipperary run as she got no luck in running and can bounce back.

20:05 – Space Tourist

Though she didn’t shine for her former yard in bumpers, SPACE TOURIST showed winning potential on hurdling debut at Navan in March and her new yard will have her ready. Princess Sophia wasn’t at her best on soft ground last time but can bounce back, while Down Around is respected for local connections.
