13:35 – Beautiful Aisling

BEAUTIFUL AISLING sales price rocketed at the Breeze-Ups this year and she has made a promising start to her career, finishing runner-up on her first two starts before running as well as could be expected up markedly in grade in the Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot last time. She has shown plenty of speed so far, so will appreciate the return to the minimum trip, and sets a good standard back in grade. Greenroad, who improved for the switch to front-running tactics to score over course and distance a fortnight ago, looks the main danger.

14:10 – My Honey B

MY HONEY B hinted at ability on her qualifying run over course and distance and duly showed improved form on handicap debut back at this venue last month, leaving the impression she has been allotted a workable mark. That form is working out well, too, with the fourth and fifth both winning next time, and there should be even more to come from My Honey B now. Leading Company, who opened his account over course and distance last time, looks the biggest threat.

14:45 – Sugar Baby

SUGAR BABY wasted no time returning to form when recording a first win on turf at Thirsk last month and he had no trouble following up from the same mark at Musselburgh seven days later. He was surprisingly easy to back on that occasion, but he asserted away from his rivals like a horse in top form and that race is working out. Sugar Baby is now 4 lb higher, which leaves him on a fair mark, and he seems sure to launch another bold bid to complete a hat-trick. Last year’s winner Arnold will need the breaks but arrives in good form and can also figure.

15:20 – At The Double

With Glory And Honour a non-runner, this looks a good opportunity for AT THE DOUBLE to record another win. He showed improved form fitted with first-time blinkers to open his account at Salisbury last month, but was made to look one paced by the winner when runner-up under a penalty at Nottingham last time. However, that form received a big boost on Tuesday when that rival bolted up again, and At The Double should have no problem resuming winning ways in this lesser race fitted with first-time cheekpieces. Tommaso looks the danger down in class.

15:55 – Gemcutter

GEMCUTTER put some lesser efforts behind her when producing a career-best effort to finish second in a nursery at Musselburgh two weeks ago and she looks the one to beat in this less-competitive heat. She seemed liberated by a return to five furlongs that day and a similar display should be enough for her to open her account. Majil, who ran well at Southwell last time, is next best.

16:30 – Temper Trap

TEMPER TRAP was well backed to take advantage of a lenient mark at Hamilton at the end of last month and he easily defied a 4 lb rise in the weights when following up at Ripon on Monday. He won by six lengths that day, looking in a different league to his rivals, and is impossible to oppose turned out quickly able to race from the same mark. Dr Rio and Strangerontheshore may be the pair to give him most to do.
