A tentative vote goes to EVERGREEN AND RED who hasn’t been at his best in recent starts but he sets the standard on his best efforts and the yard seem to be starting to hit some form. Baron Wild should be in the mix if he improves again.

Quite an open-looking handicap in which it may pay to side with those having productive Flat campaigns of late, with VISCHIO narrowly preferred to Secret Sea. Bottom weight Downthecellar has to be respected off his mark but lacks a recent run.

Conor McNamara has establised a good rapport with DOWNTOWN QUEEN and the combination can complete the hat-trick here, again conceding weight to all. Lightly raced improvers Mister Beeton and Minella Youngy appear the main dangers.
20:00 – Hes Leading Me On
He is going up in the handicap without winning but this looks like a good opportunity for HE’S LEADING ME ON who has been knocking on the door of late and should appreciate this new trip. Echoes Of Family looks like the main danger if he can match the best of his recent chase form.
20:30 – Russian Diamond
Kottayam has looked promising in bumpers so far and he may give a good account on his Flat debut. However, RUSSIAN DIAMOND might be the one to be with in the hope he can transfer all of his ability over jumps to the level on his Flat debut. Last year’s runner-up in this contest, Molly Wedger, should give another good account.
