TEMPUS has sometimes made the running. Was no match for Modern News at Windsor in May but bettered that form at Ascot on both starts since when third of 29 in the Royal Hunt Cup and winning a useful handicap 19 days ago, all 1m on good to firm. Firmly in the mix.
18:40 Lingfield – Cubana Habana (On The Nose, Expert Eye)
CUBANA HUBANA built on debut promise when scoring at Hamilton in May. Similar form when 5l second at Thirsk two months later. Bred to be suited by today’s longer trip and respected on handicap/AW debut.
19:40 Lingfield – Neandra (Daily Record, Garry Owen)
NEANDRA won here on the middle of her three novice starts and scored by 6l over C&D last month on her handicap debut. This race is tougher but an 8lb rise could prove to be lenient. Appealing claims.
20:20 Leopardstown – Turbine (Irish Herald, Ian Gaughran)
TURBINE’S record of 3-46 on the Flat includes a 7f win here. Improved from his seasonal debut when a solid second at Galway last time over an extended mile. 4lb higher now but can still run well.
