The betting moves need close attention because the newcomers will be of major interest if they prove capable of even fair form first time out. They are headed perhaps by Peace Of Mine and Kohana Breeze. American In Paris has the best form, having twice run on into second over about 6f, but the once-raced ZAAKARA may be capable of enough progress to overhaul her.

Time Step brings the best form to the table but FAATTIK was an eyecatcher when coming from way off the pace to make the frame at Lingfield. Painless Potter could run well but this looks a match.
15:05 – Commandment
A tight handicap. Last year’s winner Silent Flame can be a factor once more despite having a career-high mark to deal with, while Sarah’s Verse (second choice) is hard to dismiss. Preference is for the consistent COMMANDMENT, out of whom William Buick got a tune when they last joined forces.
15:40 – Atlantic Heart
The 3yo ATLANTIC HEART is building up a head of steam and she promises to be well served by today’s longer distance. Sly Madam goes again before a 4lb rise kicks in and last week’s Brighton runner-up is the obvious danger. Ascraeus and Iskaheen also need considering.

16:15 – Sinjaari
It’s a small field but they are not that easy to split. Modern News would probably have got the vote but for his underpowered display at Pontefract last time, while Berkshire Shadow was also below form on his latest start. That leaves SINJAARI and Tempus, with the latter possibly able to dictate the pace. Sinjaari is narrowly preferred, however, with his latest start easily forgiven due to bad luck in running.
16:45 – Dal Mallart
The handicap debutante Sea On Time was defeated only once, on her debut, in her first three runs and has proved her stamina, unlike the other two. However, DAL MALLART (nap) is going from strength to strength and the new trip should not be a problem for her. Peripatetic produced her best form over 1m2f on her last two starts, making late headway at Glorious Goodwood last time, so she is also taken seriously.
17:15 – Whimsy
Last month’s course 1m2f novice winner WHIMSY had only two rivals to beat that day and underperformed over 1m4f the time before, but her dam’s two previous offspring had already run over 2m by this stage of their careers and Whimsy could find extra with this step back up in trip. There are also positives and negatives about the rest, of whom Looe Beach now moving up in trip is narrowly preferred as the chief danger.
