Don’t know what a NAPs table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.
So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets). The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the table. Let’s get to the bets.
13:30 Salisbury – Bolly Bullet (Mirror Online, Melissa Jones)
BOLLY BULLET was well handicapped on last summer’s form which included a win in this race under Owen Lewis off a 6lb higher mark. Mainly out of sorts since last autumn, although there have been signs he retains ability. Carries clear risks but very dangerous if he does bounce back to form.
14:00 Salisbury – Magical Merlin (On The Nose, Expert Eye)
MAGICAL MERLIN was a 105,000gns yearling. Made a most encouraging start when a close fifth of ten at Newbury two months ago, not knocked about when clearly held. Should step up on that form and make his presence felt.
15:55 Yarmouth – Baileys Liberty (Daily Record, Garry Owen)
BAILEYS LIBERTY is usually a front-runner. Has record of 1-13 but her win was at Carlisle last month and she’s gone close at Musselburgh and Epsom in both runs since. Up another 2lb but she still looks on a workable mark and is a big player on this drop back in grade.
20:00 Kempton – Mille Miglia (Irish Herald, Ian Gaughran)
MILLIE MIGLIA made all to win a 1m2f fillies’ handicap at Newmarket last August. Best effort this year when second, beaten a neck, over C&D five weeks ago. 2lb higher but still needs consideration.
