14:10 Turbo Tiger

There was some promise in TURBO TIGER’s debut fifth at Wolverhampton 12 days ago and there can be optimism he will improve. He earns the vote ahead of Minnesota Lad who was third in May on his first two starts. Tim Easterby’s 2yos usually need their debut runs but this race very much lacks depth and the sole newcomer Seabreezes is one to watch in the betting.

14:40 Spirit Of Applause

Despite being sent off at 66-1, SPIRIT OF APPLAUSE ran a race full of promise when second on last month’s debut at York and is taken to go one better. Emily’s Eclipse has shown solid form when runner-up the last twice and is second choice ahead of the Johnston-trained newcomer Sea Master.

15:10 Twin Appeal

Although not as good as he used to be, TWIN APPEAL still retains plenty of ability and on a track that suits him he is taken to beat Bungley and Kraken Florida.

15:40 Liberation Point

Some of these come with risks attached but LIBERATION POINT has done well since blinkers have been applied and his latest third at Carlisle can be marked up because he didn’t get an easy time up front. This 5yo still looks feasibly treated and gets the vote on his drop back in trip. Reputation has run plenty of good races for his new yard this year and he’s feared most, although Bin Hayyan was an unlucky loser over C&D in June and looks interesting if he can recapture that form.

16:10 Andaleep (NAP)

The in-form ANDALEEP (nap), who won in good style at Windsor on Sunday, can follow up with his penalty. Little Ted and Zumurud look his main dangers.

16:40 Whitcliffe

From the Johnston yard, WHITCLIFFE is just about the most exposed horse in the field but two placings from his last three starts showed that he is effective over C&D and has a competitive mark. It remains to be seen how he takes to blinkers but he still gets the vote ahead of the handicap newcomer Golden Keeper whose second run looked encouraging.

17:10 Glory Hallelujah

There are plenty with a chance in this sprint handicap and the suggestion is the in-form GLORY HALLELUJAH, who has been progressing all season. With a low draw Princess Karine should run much better than on her handicap debut here.
