13:30 – Falesia Beach
Falesia Beach was beaten only half a length when third in a six-furlong handicap at Newmarket in June and she looks well treated able to run off a 3 lb lower mark here. She has dropped in the weights after failing to run to her best the last twice, though she ran respectably when third at Epsom a couple of weeks ago, despite failing to handle the track, and that form has been given a boost by the winner following up.

14:00 – Magical Merlin
Magical Merlin was sent off at a big price on debut but he showed plenty of ability at Newbury to finish fifth, beaten less than two and a half lengths. Magical Merlin was unable to quicken inside the final furlong but he left the impression that he would be sharper for the experience and he can take a step forward here.
14:30 – Glamorous Breeze
Glamorous Breeze had been knocking on the door and put it all together to score at Chepstow on her penultimate start, winning by half a length after travelling smoothly into contention. Glamorous Breeze again travelled sweetly at Ascot last time but was just outbattled late on by a determined opponent, going down by a head. That was still a career-best effort on the figures, highlighting that she’s in excellent order at present, and she can launch another bold bid here.

15:00 – Greg The Great
Greg The Great proved far too good for some limited rivals at Lingfield on his penultimate start and he showed better form when following up at Chepstow last time, albeit needing the help of the stewards to get the verdict. Greg The Great pulled a long way clear of the third in that contest, leaving the impression that there could be more to come, so a 4 lb rise should not be enough to stop him completing the hat-trick.
15:30 – Climate
Climate seemingly failed to stay a mile and a half in the Pinnacle Stakes when last seen at Haydock in May but she had produced a career-best effort when a close-up fourth in the Dahlia Stakes over nine furlongs at Newmarket on her previous start, so she will benefit from dropping back to a mile and a quarter here. That Dahlia Stakes form is the best on offer here and Climate could still have a bit more to offer as she starts out for John Gosden having joined from the Jessica Harrington yard.
16:00 – Star of Valour
Star of Valour is on a losing run of 12 that stretches back to June of last year but he has dropped below his last winning mark and has been in good form of late. Star of Valour was only beaten three quarters of a length when runner-up at Windsor last week, finishing to good effect after having to wait for a gap, and he should give a good account off the same mark.
