13:00 – Keep Bidding

Never threatened when finishing fourth in the Woodcote Stakes last time, but she found that competitive conditions event coming a bit too early in her development and it is instead worth concentrating on the promise KEEP BIDDING showed when runner-up on debut at Nottingham. That fillies’ maiden has worked out really well as the winner, Maylandsea, subsequently finished runner-up in the Queen Mary, while the fourth home at Nottingham, Lady Hollywood, has progressed markedly and won at listed level when completing her hat-trick last time.

13:30 – Take A Stand

The selection has caught the eye on a couple of occasions since going handicapping, including at Chelmsford a couple of weeks ago when he kept on well into third after being hampered, leaving the impression that the step up to a mile suited him. TAKE A STAND shaped like he’s capable of defying this mark when granted better luck in running and he remains unexposed at this trip.

14:00 – Fariba

A daughter of Farhh, out of a half-sister to high-class winner Jack Hobbs, FARIBA shaped well when fourth at Newcastle on debut, faring best of those who were held up. The 2-year-old kept on nicely under a hands-and-heels ride, despite understandably looking green, and she is entitled to progress for that experience.

14:30 – Enola Grey

Finished third on all three starts but, her latest effort at Goodwood was her best yet and represented improved form. That was ENOLA GREY‘s first start at seven furlongs and it’s possible she has a bit more to offer over this trip as she didn’t get a clear run at Goodwood.

15:00 – One World

Flopped in the Chesham Stakes after making a winning debut at Haydock but ONE WORLD got back on the right track at Newmarket last time, splitting a couple of last-time-out winners in a three-runner race that was run at a respectable pace in the circumstances. It was encouraging how comfortably One World got the better of the eventual third and he still looks well treated after going up 3 lb, while the step up to a mile and application of cheekpieces could also bring about some improvement.

15:30 – Tamilla

TAMILLA showed improved form when runner-up in a strong event on her handicap debut at Haydock in May and she then made the most of a good opportunity to get off the mark in maiden company at Ffos Las a couple of weeks ago. Tamilla is 7 lb higher than when last contesting a handicap but that Haydock form has worked out very well and she is still lightly raced and unexposed, so she holds leading claims.

16:00 – Yagan

Enjoyed a productive campaign last term, winning on three occasions after going handicapping up in trip, YAGAN shaped with some encouragement on his recent reappearance at Wolverhampton. Yagan was only fourth of five, but he was held up in a steadily-run race that tested speed more than stamina. He should get a more suitable test here and is entitled to be sharper with that outing under his belt, so he can take a big step forward.
