The yard are hot off the back of recording a four timer just the other day, & Frankie Dettori throws his leg across JUDICIAL on Saturday, and can have the desired effect. He will be held up for his customary late challenge, and the set up of this contest should suit him perfectly, expect him to be swooping fast and late under the stylish Italian.
Takes a drop back in distance and grade having tried the German 2000 Guineas previously, MR MCCANN has decent winning form here last season and gets a positive jockey switch. They should have the perfect set up with La Trinidad in the lineup the likely pacesetter to aim at, yard going well and the record here speaks for it self.
Was arguably one of the most unlucky losers at the Glorious Goodwood festival, SUPER SUPERJACK did well managing a remarkable second considering how much traffic he found on his way through. He should have far too much firepower later on for the likes of Rock Eagle and Throne Hall.
Here’s the first of Paddy’s Pick 5 races on Saturday. The selection put up a remarkable performance on the front end at Newbury last time given he went very very hard and still managed to find an extra gear light on for a comfortable success. GROCER JACK’s not been with the yard that long and provided he can learn to settle a bit better there is no limit to the potential he has in the locker, he is well clear on official ratings
This 7f Group 3 race is also one of Paddy’s Pick 5 races on Saturday. My pick made a big impression on her racecourse debut at Doncaster, despite NOVAKAI being a little green and babyish in the preliminaries. Even allowing for her wide margin success in the end, she still raced with her nose in the air and not really understanding what was required, suggesting she will be much more streetwise this time around. There is every reason to expect a chunk of improvement for a new owner in the stable.
Certainly deserves to get another victory on the board considering his consistency in a whole host of top-level handicaps in the early part of this campaign. Given the change of rider for ISLA KAI, he may well not be one-dimensional and go on the front end but there is no better jockey than this lad in the saddle if he is gifted the front end on his own.
The Curragh hosts the last of this Saturday’s Paddy’s Pick 5 races. SHARTASH did really well to squeeze through a small gap and get up on top of the line over caution distance last time showing a real willing attitude and a massive amount of natural ability, he does have to improve around 10lb on the ratings but there is every reason from the pedigree perspective to suggest he can take that significant step forward, his trainer doesn’t over face them just for the sake of it and he is thrown in one of the hottest juvenile races of the campaign so far let’s take the hint.
Was relatively highly regarded for his former stable and didn’t make a Royal Ascot appearance as a juvenile. TOLSTOY has been fairly lightly raced throughout this campaign. He went to the horses in training sale and was picked up by New Connections for £70,000, but he’s nowhere near his ceiling at the moment and this move has proven to be very productive for the stable in the past.
