We are spoilt for choice this Saturday on ITV racing with Newmarket, Haydock and the Shergar Cup at Ascot taking centre-stage.

I’ve gone across the tracks to bring you a Lucky 31 and Paddy’s also got his free to enter Pick 5 racing game with £/€25k up for grabs on Saturday.

WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

Ascot 1:35 – Divine Magic

An International flavour to the day at Ascot with the team-based Shergar Cup. The big question is how will the overseas-based riders cope with the track. It may be easier in this contest over the straight 7 furlongs and Divine Magic is my pick under Japanese rider Takeshi Yokoyama.

The pair should be able to get a lovely tow into this race. The problem is that Neil Callan rides the favourite Orbaan, but has ridden Divine Magic a lot and will know how to get the better of her if it’s a close run thing.

Haydock 2:25 – Electrical Storm

Electrical Storm drops back to a mile after looking like he didn’t stay last time over 1m 2f at Sandown. His dam is by the sprinter Marju and the stiff uphill finish at the Esher track was just not for him! He won very nicely at York and with question marks about a few of these, I am much happier about his chance on this easy mile at Haydock. Mr McCann is the danger as the form of his German 2,000 Guineas run is working out very well.

Haydock 3:00 – Anmaat

This is the first of Paddy’s Pick 5 races and I was really impressed with Owen Burrows’ charge when winning at York. He had not run for some time, yet he was still very well backed in a 22 runner handicap at York so stable confidence was strong. He is definitely a player.

Grocer Jack is a dangerous rival though and if they let him get away in front, will struggle to pick him up. He looked a horse with a future when running away with the race at Newbury over this 10f trip where the change of tactics really worked well.

Ascot 3:20 – Pride of Priory

This son of Pivotal ran on good to firm ground once in the last year and put up arguably his most impressive performance. Kieran Schoemark is a very good jockey booking and the trainer William Haggas is in red hot form.

Quite a few of these have been racing up the handicap and it’s tough to get a ceiling on their ability. I’m happy with Pride of Priory.

    Newmarket 3:40 – Novakai

Another one of Paddy’s Pick 5 races, the selection’s trainer Karl Burke has an abundance of talent in his stable especially in the two-year-old division. Novakai was so impressive at Doncaster beating a previous winner easily and her pedigree is all about stamina. The further this filly goes, the better she will be and is one to keep onside.

Ivory Madonna comes with a risk warning as she hangs left in the closing stages. If she can keep a straight line she has the form to be a danger.

    Mick’s Saturday Lucky 15:

    1:35pm Ascot – Divine Magic
    2:25pm Haydock – Electrical Storm
    3pm Haydock – Anmaat
3:20pm Ascot – Pride Of Priory
    3:40pm Newmarket – Novaki
