17:40 – Thats Just Dandy

Thats Just Dandy looks to have been prepped perfectly for this first day of the Racing League contest with a spin just over three weeks ago at Killarney. He is still fairly lightly-raced overall and has filled the placings on four of his five tries on turf so he deserves to get his head in front at Doncaster for Team Ireland.

WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

18:10 – Fresh Hope

Fresh Hope looks to have been found a good opportunity to add to her tally having won two of her last three races. She has only been nudged up 2lb for that last success at Leicester too. Prior to that she was an excellent second and ran well under Hayley Turner in the Sandringham at the Royal meeting. She looks to have an obvious chance.

18:40 – Machito

Machito has been hit with a little rise from the handicapper after the front two pulled a long way clear from the rest of the pack at Catterick on his first try in a nursery last time out. This trip on a straight track looks absolutely ideal and he looks a value play against X J Rascal, who appears again fairly quickly after Goodwood.

FANCY A CHANCE TO WIN SOME CASH?

19:10 – Lethal Nymph

Lethal Nymph went back-to-back early on in his career including over this course and distance. He has knocked loudly on the door the last twice up over a furlong further too. He refused to settle last time at Sandown and it looks significant that the team drop him back down to his course and distance success. Sprinting looks his game.

19:40 – Spring Bloom

Spring Bloom is impossible to oppose in his current form, especially as he goes unpenalised for his success in an apprentice contest last time when a snug winner by two and a half lengths. Admittedly, it is a slight step up in grade, but his ability to handle a wide variety of ground conditions swings it in his favour.

20:10 – Furzig (each-way)

Furzig has finally dropped down to a workable mark again on the turf and will be suited by the more galloping nature of this track, than he was on the front-runners track at Ripon last time. With a few likely pace angles in here it’s going to suit ‘come from behind’ tactics. He looks forgotten about in the market at a massive each-way price.

20:40 – Jean Baptiste

A one-time lead horse for Sir Michael Stoute, Jean Baptiste went across to George Boughy’s stable but failed to capitalise on a mid 80’s rating for the young rookie trainer. He’s now with his third trainer, Roger Fell, and he seems to have found an extra leg. He’s looking for the three-timer after wins at Chester and Hamilton and there’s every reason to expect he can continue his ascent up the ladder. Fell has found the keys to the engine.
