Six meetings are scheduled across the tracks in the UK and Ireland today – and our nifty NAPs Table is here to give you a steer on the day’s best bets.

The Grade 1 Ladbrokes Champion Chase (14:40) tops the bill at Down Royal as last year’s winner Gerri Colombe and 2022 scorer Envoi Allen face off but Hewick has race fitness on his side. The Grade 2 Bottlegreen Ladies Day 2024 Chase (15:20) is the pick of the supporting races as Found A Fifty concedes weight to four rivals including Galway Plate hero Pinkerton.

It is Charlie Hall Chase (14:58) day at Wetherby as Bravemansgame attempts to regain the Grade 2 prize but the field of six includes Grey Dawning and Conflated. Elsewhere on the card, Dashel Drasher makes his seasonal reappearance in the Grade 2 West Yorkshire Hurdle (14:22).

Ultima winner Chianti Classico tops the weights for the Sodexo Live! Gold Cup Handicap Chase (15:45) at Ascot, Ayr also stages Jumps action, the Listed James Seymour Stakes (15:27) is the pick of the races at Newmarket and there is also an all-weather meeting at Southwell.
