If HOT TEAM can build on his return to form at Hamilton then he should have as good a chance as any. Caracristi won nicely at Thirsk and rates the obvious danger, followed by the now-hooded Buachaill.

14:00 – Mountain Warrior

The two that stand out on form are Hougoumont and MOUNTAIN WARRIOR who both showed plenty of promise on debut last month. The former finished well to go close behind an odds-on rival at Carlisle but slight preference is for Mountain Warrior, who sets the standard on his close fourth in a big field at Ayr. Greycious Anna ran green at Ripon and it wouldn’t be a surprise if she showed a lot more on her second start, while there are some newcomers who need watching in the market including Richard Fahey’s Tribal Hunter.

14:30 – Lincoln Pride

Dirty Leeds could revive back at 6f and down in grade, while Arnold, Slainte Mhath and Tathmeen all have something to recommend them. LINCOLN PRIDE doesn’t help herself by pulling but she has plenty of ability for one of her rating and she may benefit from this drop back to 6f.

15:00 – Delphinus

East End Girl shaped well at Haydock after a long lay-off and can go well but this may fall to one of the 3yos. Qoya and World Without Love are respected but perhaps this will be the day that DELPHINUS can put her head in front.

15:30 – Buraback

The hat-trick seeking Rocket Rod is the obvious starting point and he looks booked for another big run despite dropping back in distance. Mostallim and Mutaraafeq can have a case argued but BURABACK could take a big step forward from his stable debut now back up to 7f and dropping in class.

16:00 – Northbound

Engles Rock should make a bold bid provided they don’t dawdle, while Lelabad and Langton Wold have claims if anywhere near their best. It has been a long time since NORTHBOUND put his head in front but his latest Thirsk third was more promising and he is tentatively preferred.

16:30 – Miss Britain

Dandys Gold comes here in good order and should go well, while recent C&D second Lady Celia and the lightly-raced 3yos Trois Vallees and Roshambo will have their supporters. MISS BRITAIN (nap) still looks on a handy mark on the pick of her 6f form though and she may well prove the answer on her AW debut.
