LAKOTA BLUE wasn’t anywhere near the form level of his Coventry Stakes ninth when landing the odds at Carlisle latest (6f, good to soft), still looking green; more required now penalised, but still respected.

15:00 Goodwood – Rocket Rodney (Daily Express, The Scout)

Raced only on good/firmer; ROCKET RODNEY is a ready winner over C&D in April; solid performances in Listed grade since, finishing second in the Windsor Castle at Royal Ascot (form working out well) then comfortably going one better in the Dragon Stakes at Sandown; progressive colt who has leading claims.

17:20 Goodwood – The Attorney (Racing Ahead, Ben Morgan)

THE ATTORNEY made progress over 7f in the second half of 2021; no great step forward as yet this year but again gave it a good shot over C&D in June and a recent fifth in the Bunbury Cup at Newmarket (7f, good to firm), when battling it out with three others for the places, suggests he can play a part.

18:40 Galway – Discordantly (Irish Herald, Ian Gaughran)

DISCORDANTLY has had his jumping issues but has won over C&D and is a decent handicapper on his day; would not rule out.
