Each and every day of the racing year we bring you a bumper NAPs table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.

WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

Don’t know what a NAPs table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.

So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets). The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the table. Let’s get to the bets.

14:40 York – Atomic Lady (Mirror Online, Melissa Jones)

ATOMIC LADY is a 3yo who has something to prove in terms of current form but her three best RPRs have coincided with her three visits to York, the highlight her close second in a valuable 2yo sales race over C&D last August, and she’s well worth a second look off a handy mark now back here.

15:00 Ascot – Top Secret (On The Nose, Expert Eye)

TOP SECRET has a record of 2-3 at Ascot but returns here under a cloud, having badly underperformed in two runs since going close at Newbury on seasonal debut. Needs a big revival.

15:35 Ascot – Mishriff (Daily Telegraph, Marlborough)

MISHRIFF was runner-up in this race last year, then went one better in the International at York where he impressively secured a third Group 1 win and recorded a rating that gives him the best chance in this field. Unlucky second in the Eclipse at Sandown three weeks ago, meeting trouble then finishing strongly once in the clear. Big player.

16:45 Ascot – Saga (Daily Express, The Scout)

SAGA has been progressive bar a blip over 7f here in May, running a cracker with blinkers and a tongue-tie added when finding the line coming just too soon in the Britannia over C&D at last month’s Royal meeting. The early indications are that the form of that race is typically strong. Every chance he can deal with an 8lb rise, particularly as a fair chunk of it is offset by Benoit De La Sayette’s claim.
