It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.
So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets). The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the table. Let’s get to the bets.
15:35 Sandown – Sweet Reward (Telegraph)
Topweight SWEET REWARD holds particularly solid claims having performed well in a higher grade here on Eclipse day, confirming that he’s well suited by this C&D. Second choice is Saigon, who is open to further improvement in the retained tongue-tie. Scarlet Dragon is on a two-year losing spell but he holds every chance from a handicapping perspective, while Light Up Our Stars is another for the shortlist.
18:00 Leopardstown – Zoinnocent (The Sun)
An interesting contest with a number of possibilities. There is unlikely to be a lot between Never Ending Story and Zarinsk on their second meeting, but there is also plenty to like about ZOINNOCENT, a comfortable winner of a Gowran maiden with the promise of plenty more to come.
18:08 Newbury – Fast Steps (Racing Post)
Rod Millman’s FAST STEPS looks a winner waiting to happen off his current mark and returning to 1m2f should help. Classy Dame and King’s Castle dominated a similar race here last month and are feared most in that order.
18:55 Doncaster – Gypsy Whisper (Sporting Life)
If GYPSY WHISPER is in the same form as when scoring over C&D on Saturday evening then she may be up to defying a 5lb penalty. Hostelry (second choice), Nine Elms and Antagonize head the dangers.
