SEMANTICS and Starry Heavens finished second and third respectively in a strong-looking maiden at Bellewstown 3 weeks ago and they can come to the form. The Ger Lyons-trained filly is taken to come out on top again, with Lan Mara another to take seriously.

18:00 – Never Ending Story

NEVER ENDING STORY shaped with abundant promise when a close third to the re-opposing Zarinsk over 6f on debut at the Curragh, prior to opening her account in good style upped to this trip at the same course last month. She is a pretty exciting prospect and is taken to get the better of Zarinsk this time. The latter wasn’t beaten far in Group 2 company on her latest start and will offer stern resistance. Zoinnocent and With Love can do battle for minor honours.

18:30 – Proud And Regal

PROUD AND REGAL landed what is traditionally a strong maiden at the Curragh on debut last month and, armed with plenty of potential, he can be expected to take this step up in class in his stride. Aidan O’Brien has farmed this race in recent years, winning each of the last eight renewals, so Age of Kings has to be accorded the utmost respect. Pearling Path is also feared on the back of his fine effort in the Chesham at Royal Ascot.

19:00 – Fleetwood

Those with previous form don’t set a tall standard and it could pay to side with a newcomer in the shape of FLEETFOOT. He makes plenty of appeal and, with a National Stakes entry, it would come as no surprise to see him figure on debut. Tower of London is another who makes plenty of appeal on paper and is feared, ahead of Atlantic Charter.

19:30 – Scarlet Angel

SCARLET ANGEL did well to finish as close as she did when third to Aristovic on her recent handicap debut at Killarney and, on these revised terms, she has every chance of emerging on top this time. Aristovic is feared nonetheless in her bid to complete the hat-trick, but a bigger threat may be posed by Might And Mercy, who put in a good shift over this C&D a fortnight ago. Westernesse is open to improvement now pitched into a handicap and also needs a second look.

20:00 – Waterville

WATERVILLE looks the way to go here given he has improved with each of his four runs to date and had plenty in the tank when getting off the mark at Limerick. Fairyhouse-scorer Point King is another with better days ahead of him and he is feared most ahead of course-winner Nectarine.

20:30 – Final Orders

Having been strong in the betting, FINAL ORDERS found only another well-handicapped sort too strong at Bellewstown 3 weeks and, nicely clear of the remainder that day, he earns the vote to defy a subsequent weight rise in refitted blinkers. Movie King, who was in good order on the Flat in the spring, is feared, along with Mr Coldstone and Evenwood Sunofagun.
