18:08 Andaleep

In a very tight handicap, narrow preference is for ANDALEEP who has not been long with the Kublers and boasts a fine record over C&D. Mr Zee and Hashtagmetoo may pose the main threats and are preferred in that order, with the consistent Pledge Of Honour and recent Kempton winner Silastar also respected.

18:38 Annie Maher

Provided she returns from a 75-day absence in sound order, Ascot runner-up ANNIE MAHER could well go one better. She has a good profile and is likely to progress. Mrs U S A is feared most, ahead of Mehme. Soaring Eagle looks the pick of the newcomers.

19:08 Autumn Festival

The safest option is AUTUMN FESTIVAL, who can race off the same mark as when beaten a neck at Beverley eight days ago, but there are several plausible alternatives, notably Reversion after a more encouraging run at Newbury last month. Two fillies at the bottom of the weights, Doolily and Albus Anne, complete the shortlist.

19:38 Rouge Rocket (NAP)

Colour Image staged his revival by prevailing in a good scrap at Bath. Preference, however, is for the lightly raced 3yo ROGUE ROCKET (nap) who did the job with little fuss on his handicap debut, looking as if he had more in the tank. Love Dreams is third on the list.

20:08 Frantanck

The bottom four all make significant appeal. Dal Mallart stamped her authority on a 1m2f handicap on good to soft at Haydock last time and comes from a family which suggests she has further improvement in her. However, slight preference is for FRANTANCK who’s won one (on good to firm) of his two races over 1m this term but shaped as if this step up in trip is very much in order for his handicap debut. Maytree Respite is third on the list.

20:40 Happy

The others are not entirely dismissed but this may well be resolved by HAPPY holding off Cherry Cola. The selection has had only one win but Cherry Cola’s strike-rate in recent years is a fair bit worse, so the Johnston-trained 4yo is taken to make the most of what’s probably his best opportunity this season in a handicap.
