Ange Endormi was a clear second over C&D on his recent stable debut and he’s feared most, ahead of Thatbeatsbanagher, who was only narrowly denied in his last hurdle run. Forever Forward and Shaws Bridge are other key players, while the handicap newcomer Our Sam needs watching in the market.
13:30 – Zamond
Donald McCain’s improver Simply Red was only just caught over C&D on Saturday and would be strongly respected if turned out quickly, but slight preference is for her stablemate ZAMOND, who chased home a well-handicapped rival at Uttoxeter last time and is on the same mark here on his drop back in grade. Jackhammer won his last two hurdle runs in the spring and looks interesting back in this sphere, while another to consider is last-time-out Hexham winner Baraboy.

14:05 – Tontos Spirit
Multiple C&D winner TONTO’S SPIRIT finished behind Dr Sanderson and Sword Of Fate here three weeks ago but 2m5f on good to soft ground seemed to stretch his stamina that day and he can prevail over today’s shorter trip. Lermoos Legend has made considerable progress since cheekpieces were added last spring and is feared most. Sir Tivo has an excellent strike-rate over fences and is next on the list.
14:40 – Game Line
Larry Looby struck form last month and is respected in his bid to complete a hat-trick but thorough stayer GAME LINE ran very well in defeat over C&D off a much higher mark last summer and was seemingly back in good form on his latest outing. Dee Star made his jockey work very hard before eventually finishing well for second over C&D on Saturday but will be considered if he turns out again.

All About Joe caused a 33-1 surprise here on his chasing debut last month but he was laboured in his follow-up bid at Perth and has some work to do against the highly progressive RAPID FLIGHT in this match. James Moffatt’s 6yo made it 3-4 at this track with his dominant display in a C&D handicap last time and can strike again in this hat-trick bid.
