Each and every day of the racing year we bring you a bumper NAPs table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.

WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

Don’t know what a NAPs table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.

So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets). The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the table. Let’s get to the bets.

13:59 Stratford – Rafiki (Daily Record, Gary Owen)

RAFIKI lost his way a bit after very promising start to his Flat career but kept on well for narrow C&D win (good) on last month’s hurdling debut and could easily have a lot more to offer in this sphere.

15:25 Newton Abbott – Cresswell Queen (Mirror Online, Melissa Jones)

CRESSWELL QUEEN won over hurdles (3m3f, good) in March for Tristan Davidson and displayed career-best form when making a winning chase and stable debut at Ffos Las (3m, good) last month; hit with a 10lb rise but had plenty in hand and could have more to offer over fences.

15:50 Redcar – Encourageable (Daily Telegraph, Marlborough)

ENCOURAGEABLE finished a promising second on debut at Doncaster (7f, good) in March then went one better at Wolverhampton (7f, AW) in April, keeping on well; well beaten in Sandown Listed (1m, good to firm) last time out in May but this 3yo retains potential now tackling a handicap and he’s one to be interested in.

15:55 Curragh – Purplepay (Ian Gaughran, Irish Herald)

PURPLEPAY was kept busy last season by Cedric Rossi, winning three times and third in the Group 1 Criterium International; bought for a hefty 2,000,000Euros in December and has visited the Curragh on two of three starts this year, midfield finishes in both the Group 1 Irish 1,000 Guineas and Pretty Polly Stakes; in between relished soft ground to win Group 2 Prix de Sandringham at Chantilly (1m); should stay this trip but unproven on ground this quick.
