15:53 Newbury – Chateau (Daily Express, The Scout)

The form of CHATEAU’s conditions stakes win at Beverley in May reads well and he was a good fourth of 24 in the Listed Windsor Castle at Royal Ascot last month. He’s finished strongly the last twice and could be even better now tackling 6f.

18:47 Hamilton – Motashaweq (Daily Record, Garry Owen)

MOTASHAWEQ is a lightly raced 3yo who found plenty of progress dropped to 5f for new yard when landing a C&D novice on his recent comeback. Travelled smoothly for a long way in that race and he’s open to more improvement on this handicap debut. Interesting contender.

19:17 Hamilton – Swiss Ace (Mirror Online, Melissa Jones)

SWISS ACE ran away with 7f race at Newcastle in April. Respectable efforts last two starts, close fifth at Doncaster on latest. More required if he’s to be competitive here but he’s speedily bred and the drop back to sprinting is an interesting move.

19:40 Newmarket – Voodoo Queen (On The Nose, Expert Eye)

VOODOO QUEEN was a beaten favourite but shaped with promise in maidens at Nottingham and Newcastle last autumn. Well backed and showed improvement to make a winning reappearance in a 1m2f maiden on the Rowley course in April. The best could yet be to come.
