Kingdom Of Dreams improved markedly on his debut form at Doncaster and is a serious rival, while Acotango can be expected to progress with racing and commands respect too. Market support for one of the newcomers would be noteworthy.
19:10 Wisper
This is quite competitive despite the smallish field. Gangway will be especially dangerous if getting an easy lead while fellow 3yo Night Of Luxury should be well suited by returning to 1m2f. However, Toronado Grey and WISPER arrive on the back of career-best successes and Marcus Tregoning’s filly gets the narrow verdict.
19:40 Flame Of Freedom
Jim Boyle saddles half of the field with Marlay Park preferred to last year’s winner Otago of the three. There are alternatives, however, with Starshiba having run very well at Ayr ten days ago, Tintoretto featuring on a handy mark and FLAME OF FREEDOM back to a winning mark and with William Buick taking over for the first time this year. Eve Johnson Houghton’s filly is marginally preferred.

City Vaults, bred to be useful and making his handicap debut after gelding and breathing operations, would be of serious interest if coming in for support after nine months off, but on recent form the standout choice is IDEAL GUEST whose two Brighton successes were gained in convincing fashion. It’s difficult to work up much enthusiasm for the others.

Three last-time-out winners in opposition and the one to beat is the thriving filly CAIUS CHORISTER who barely came off the bridle when landing her hat-trick over C&D last week. Night Eagle’s most recent success also came here and he may chase the selection home.
