The son of Camelot could face a tough opponent in Alder who shaped nicely at the Curragh under a considerate enough ride and who should appreciate the longer trip. Joseph O’Brien’s pair Mister Mister and Valiant King both hold Group One entries and the market should prove the best guide to their relative chances here on debut.

It is difficult to oppose MCTIGUE, who is clear top-rated, with the only negative being that he is turning out quickly after his Leopardstown run. Didn’thavemuchtodo looks like a fast improving filly, so could give the selection a race. Relevant Range has to find plenty on ratings.
18:15 – Three Laws
Having found 7f too sharp last time, THREE LAWS could get off the mark back up to 1m on handicap debut. Her yard is in terrific form. Independent Expert is a very consistent operator and looks sure to be thereabouts, while last-time-out winner Aristovic has a chance again.
18:45 – Pierre Lapin
After two good runs in premier handicaps, PIERRE LAPIN is taken to record a first win on Irish soil with this quickening ground in his favour. Hale Bopp should appreciate the return to this trip, although the biggest threat could come from Giuseppe Cassioli.

A model of consistency, ARK(nap) can make the breakthrough today now back on a sound surface after running on soft at Bellewstown last time. Her stablemate Honeycomb could be a slow-burner and can’t be ignored. Newcomers Stellar Storm and Goodie Two Shoes need a market check.
19:45 – Good Heavens
With a run under his girth this season, GOOD HEAVENS should strip fitter today and can get back to winning ways. Willesee beat the selection last year and will be happier on this track than Ballinrobe last time. Spasiba won his maiden on soft ground and might find this a bit quick, though should run well.

An open-looking handicap in which EASKY MAID gets a tentative vote, having flown home from the back of the field at Ballinrobe last time after blowing the start. She can reverse that form with Butterfly Garden, while major threats come from the likes of Alice Diamond and Litteratus.
