Each and every day of the racing year we bring you a bumper NAPs table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.
WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!
Don’t know what a NAPs table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.
So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets). The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the table. Let’s get to the bets.
14:36 Stratford – Captain Square (Daily Telegraph, Marlborough)
Showed some fair form on the Flat for Andrew Balding (albeit without winning) and was left clear at penultimate flight to win by 15l on stable/hurdle debut at Newton Abbot (good) last month; was almost certainly fortunate there but CAPTAIN SQUARE is open to improvement in this sphere.
16:05 Perth – Fearless (Daily Record, Garry Owen)
Came good for Danny Brooke at second attempt, when too strong for a next-time-out winner at Aintree (2m, good) in June; FEARLESS‘ subsequent 5lb rise doesn’t look excessive and he’ll be fine on this right-handed track; major player.
16:50 Fairyhouse – Rihani (On The Nose, Expert Eye)
In much better company than last time, but RIHANI was a real eyecatcher when flashing home from off the pace on that occasion at Limerick (only beaten 1.25l); that form has taken a slight knock or two since and up 1lb with cheekpieces now tried; should be involved.
16:56 Stratford – Of Corse I Can (Mirror Online, Melissa Jones)
£30,000 buy after runner-up in March in the last of four Irish points; 5-2 for six-runner novice hurdle at Ffos Las (2m4f, good) last month and came from towards rear to be 8l second of six, left behind by the winner from before two out; OF CORSE I CAN showed more than enough to be taken very seriously.
