13:35 – Edge Of My Seat

Not many make much appeal. Baron Wild is probably capable of better over hurdles, Wrecking Ball Paul certainly is but has questions to answer, so EDGE OF MY SEAT is selected in the hope that she comes on enough for a promising Roscommon debut.

14:10 – Daisy Dufresne

Even by unplaced maiden standards, this is pretty grim stuff. If DAISY DUFRESNE can run up to her spring form she should be more than good enough. The unexposed Sky Sprinter might chase her home.

14:45 – Mind Your Money

A competitive event featuring three mares at the top of their game at present. Narrow preference is for MIND YOUR MONEY, who was second to an improved sort at Wexford last time. Kilbeggan maiden winner Some Dove and big improver Hophornbeam will provide a stern test.

15:20 – Red Ball Of Fire

Course form counts for plenty at this venue and locally-trained RED BALL OF FIRE has recorded both her hurdle wins here. She also ran well on the Flat here last time, so gets the nod. Two Shoe Tom, Ena Baie and Peckham Springs look the best of the remainder.

15:55 – Presenting Lad (NAP)

Boston Brahmin has the pull in the weights to turn the tables, but top-weight PRESENTING LAD (nap) is very reliable and followed up his Roscommon win with an equally good run in defeat last week. Zaccarela might be the pick of the remainder.

16:30 – Silver Planeur

Having won this easily last year before losing her form, SILVER PLANEUR showed a bit more spark at Limerick last time and can repeat the feat. Don’t Tell Allen is starting to fulfill his promise and is a danger on handicap debut, while Arthur’s Baby is of interest too.

17:05 – Grivei

Given the record that his yard has in these races, it isn’t easy to oppose GRIVEI, who was just chinned in a decent Fairyhouse bumper in January. His fitness shouldn’t be an issue. On The Sixth Day ran a cracker over 2m4f on debut and should be sharper today, as should Punchestown fifth Joshua Chamberlin.
