Each and every day of the racing year we bring you a bumper NAPs table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.

WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

Don’t know what a NAPs table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.

So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets). The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the table. Let’s get to the bets.

15:15 Newmarket – Isaac Shelby (Daily Telegraph, Marlborough)

Night Of Thunder colt who created a favourable impression in Newbury maiden (6.5f, good to soft) almost six weeks ago, racing prominently then drawing clear nicely inside the final 1f; ISAAC SHELBY gained some experience in a Lingfield barrier trial shortly before that debut; promising.

16:05 York – Mahrajaan (Mirror Online, Melissa Jones)

Won three in a row (two novice events and 1m4f handicap) last summer before his creditable third over 1m6f at York in October. MAHRAJAAN took another step forward when third in useful 1m4f handicap at Haydock on reappearance and he travels well enough to make this step back down in trip look worth the attempt; while his ideal trip is not clear, he does still look capable of better.

16:25 Newmarket – Romantic Proposal (Daily Record, Garry Owen)

Irish mare who won last year’s Flying Five (5f Group 1; good), ROMANTIC PROPOSAL recorded a very tidy success in Listed grade at Naas on sole start this term; this step back to 6f shouldn’t be a problem; goes well fresh and looks quite interesting on return from another break.

17:00 Newmarket – Bizarre Law (On The Nose, Expert Eye)

Winner of a 1m Kempton novice last season; not disgraced in the always-strong London Gold Cup on his handicap debut at Newbury (1m2f, good) and, as expected, BIZARRE LAW improved for going this far when beating a subsequent winner at Goodwood (good to firm); 4lb rise by no means the end of the world and Callum Hutchinson rides again.
