WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!
13:50 Newmarket – Phantom Flight
The three-year-old PHANTOM FLIGHT has long been touted as the best horse in the James Horton yard and was quietly fancy for Royal Ascot meeting before getting upset at the start and not taking part. He could still be well treated on a mark of 95 and with the step up and distance to 1m 2f looking sure to bring about more improvement, let’s hope he behaves himself at the gate this time.
14:05 York – El Picador
He’s been a bit of a slow burner for the Keith Dalgleish yard but there is no doubting he has lots of natural ability. A small field with just eight declared runners will mean he won’t have too much ground to make up for his customary hold-up tactics. With a few runners in here likely to force the pace, EL PICADOR will be ideally position to pick up the pieces late on.

14:25 Newmarket – Lezoo
Frankie Dettori was brilliant on LEZOO last time, getting a perfect tug into the contest at this venue. Some will feel that the Queen Mary Royal Ascot form of Maylandsea is stronger, her ability to perform over course and distance will stand her in good stead. She has a tidy change of gear and can continue to climb up the ladder.
14:40 York – Zain Claudette
She is not a million miles behind the red-hot favourite Flotus on their Commonwealth Cup run just 21 days ago at Royal Ascot. Given that ZAIN CLAUDETTE was making her seasonal debut we can expect a significant jump forward from that effort. Jockey Danny Tudhope will have a target on the back of the favourite and be able to pick her up inside the final furlong and pounce late.

15:00 Newmarket – Summer’s Knight (Each Way)
A typical improver from the Sir Mark Prescott outfit who is really just starting to hit top form. He has to be respected off the back of an excellent effort at Newcastle in the Northumberland Plate as he was held up of a relatively slow gallop and did really well to finish a close up fifth. SUMMER’S KNIGHT races off the same mark and is a massive double-digit price and rates an each-way play.
15:35 Newmarket – Inspiral
The unbeaten and all-conquering INSPIRAL is impossible to oppose and looks to maintain her 100% record. Get ready for a flying Frankie Dettori dismount!
