14:15 – Marine Lake
MARINE LAKE has shown signs of ability in three starts so far, running her best race to date when fourth over this course and distance last month, making headway out wide in the straight and finishing never nearer than at the finish. She was well backed on that occasion and is the sort to progress again now sent handicapping from what appears to be a fair mark. Fomo and Snow Girl are others to consider to what looks an open race.

14:45 – Dragons Will Rise
DRAGONS WILL RISE can boast a good strike rate over the past two years and has a couple of course wins to his name over shorter. He ran well on his first start over this trip back on turf at Ripon last time, doing well to finish as close as he did coming from the rear in a modestly-run race, leaving the impression he may have more to offer at this distance. The return to this venue can help and this likeable type is taken to resume winning ways. The three-year-olds Charles St, Madame Ambassador and Planet Legend are all interesting alternatives.
15:15 – Thunder Beauty
THUNDER BEAUTY remains with just her debut win at the Curragh for Ken Condon to her name, but she has plenty of respectable efforts in the book for this yard, notably when finishing runner-up to Saffron Beach in the Duke of Cambridge Stakes at Royal Ascot last time. She excelled herself that day, coming from an unpromising position to take second close home. Several underperformed in that race, but you can’t really knock Thunder Beauty, and she looks the one to beat now back down in class. Roman Mist has a 3 lb penalty as a result of her all-weather listed success in April but she could still be the one to give David O’Meara’s charge most to do.
15:45 – Lampang
Impressive when scoring on his return at Ayr in April, LAMPANG wasn’t disgraced when tenth in the Wokingham at the Royal Ascot last month, weakening in the final furlong after racing close up for much of the race. That was a much more competitive environment than the one he faces now and he is drawn well to attack in stall 1. Dream Composer is enjoying a very good spell at the moment and is feared most.

16:15 – Diamond Haze
DIAMOND HAZE benefited from a more patient ride than previously when recording his first win since his two-year-old days at Thirsk in May and he was unlucky to bump into an unexposed type on a steeper upward curve at Musselburgh last time. He had no chance with the winner but still beat the remainder comfortably and he remains a horse to be positive about racing from the same mark. Spy, the sole three-year-old in the line-up, won at Hamilton last week and is another to consider.
16:45 – Chimed
CHIMED has an excellent pedigree and his comeback run when behind a useful sort reads well now, so he is worth forgiving a lesser run at Nottingham last time and should be backed to bounce back. He has been gelded since and should have even more to offer for top connections. He sets a good standard and should prove too strong for Chillingham, who showed promise on his Redcar debut and can fill the forecast spot.

17:15 – King Of Speed
KING OF SPEED is interesting back on turf having bagged a Redcar maiden at as a juvenile (well beaten sole subsequent run on grass, but that was in the Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot) and given that he should be sharper following his recent reappearance spin on the all-weather. Tiberio Smile has been given a chance by the handicapper and is feared most ahead of stablemate Trust Bertie and Eruption.
