14:00 – Up and Out

The action at Tramore gets underway with a below average 2-mile maiden hurdle where UP AND OUT can score for Gordon Elliot. The daughter of Pride Of Dubai can bounce back under Jack Kennedy after a disappointing run at Ballinrobe back in May. The form of her fifth-place finish on debut behind Poetic Music when trained by Darren Bunyan is solid form with the winner going on to land at Listed bumper at Cheltenham before finishing sixth to Facile Vega at the Festival in March.

Flyaway Maggie looks the biggest danger for Mick Flannery and Phillip Enright following her fifth place run at Roscommon and recent spin on the flat at Ballinrobe. Elsewhere, Declan Queally has a good strike-rate here over hurdles with Chinook requiring a market watch, while College Causeway looks another contender. John McConnell’s runner was just behind Flyaway Maggie the last day and can’t be discounted with Brian Hayes booked to ride.

14:35 Wedell Sea (NAP)

WEDDELL SEA was formerly trained by Andre Fabre in France and looks an interesting runner on his fourth start for Andrew McNamara. The son of Sea The Stars finished a solid fifth to HMS Seahorse on his Irish debut in February before improving to finish second to Rebel Step at Limerick and landing his maiden hurdle at Roscommon last month. There’s clearly further improvement to come with this four-year-old getting weight from his older rivals with Paddy O’Hanlon taking off 5Ibs.

The McNamara team has a 33% strike-rate here at Tramore over hurdles with the yard also banging in a winner with Tory Reel at Tipperary earlier this week. Dartington heads the weights for Gordon Elliott and returns after landing a novice hurdle at Wexford last month – he previously won at Navan in March before Elliott tried him in graded company at Fairyhouse. In summary, this looks a competitive novice hurdle, but Weddell Sea gets plenty of weight and has scope to improve further.

15:10 Natural Look (Each Way)

The first handicap on the Tramore card this Sunday is a competitive affair where NATURAL LOOK can improve to score for Declan Queally. The trainer/jockey has a good record at this venue and his six-year-old looks open to improvement following her sixth-place finish at Clonmel on her stable debut last month. That was her best effort under rules having been formerly trained in the UK over the past few seasons.

The daughter of Ocovango was staying on nicely at Clonmel and can use her stamina to get involved here off an unchanged rating (83). Elsewhere, there are plenty in with chances, including Where’s Bunny who landed a Handicap Chase at Wexford last month. Richie Condon remains in the saddle with the horse running off a pound higher mark over hurdles, having won over fences off 94. Limerick winner Shean Glory and Only One Plan for Philip Rothwell are others on the shortlist.

16:20 Sight Nor Seen (Each Way)

SIGHT NOR SEEN looks the most consistent of these runners and deserves to get his head in front after some decent efforts earlier this year. Andrew McNamara’s runner returns after a break having raced over fences in Beginners company here back in April. His final run for Paddy Hassett when second at Limerick wasn’t a bad effort, before finishing runner-up again at Downpatrick on his first start for McNamara.

The team are heading back over hurdles with the son of Morozov and he can be competitive off a rating of 100 under Darragh O’Keeffe. Elsewhere, former course winner Reverse Polarity heads the weights for Mark Fahey with Bear Claws another in with a chance for Eric McNamara. The six-year-old bounced back into a bit of form when fourth to Lady Iseult at Roscommon and can challenge here with Michael Hourigan’s The Holmeister another with an each-way chance.

16:55 Withallduerespect

There are plenty of horses here with previous course form which is always a positive at Tramore with local trainer Henry De Bromhead saddling three runners, including WITHALLDUERESPECT. This horse previously won a handicap hurdle here last August and was very impressive when scoring on her handicap debut over fences at Clonmel last month. She travelled and jumped well and scored going away after the last with Charlie O’Dwyer now taking off his valuable 7Ib claim to help her chances.

Rachael Blackmore rides Tisadream once again following her comeback fifth to Mater Matuta here last month. The daughter of Dubai Destination, who previously won here last summer can reverse that form off the same mark (109). Elsewhere, Conor Brassil takes off 5Ibs to help Eagle Moon’s chance with De Bromhead’s final runner hoping to improve on his second-place finish at Wexford.
