Horse Racing tips: 7 to shine at Carlisle today including an 11/1 NAP

17:50 – Tommy Taylor

A return to form from Badri wouldn’t be a huge surprise now dropped in class and partnered by a rider who’s 3lb claim is a bonus. Danzan, Corinthia Knight, Ramon Di Loria, Somewhere Secret and Redrosezorro (second choice) all have something to recommend them but TOMMY TAYLOR might be worth chancing. He wasn’t seen to best effect from a wide draw at Beverley last time but his previous York third was an excellent effort in a much stronger race than this.

18:20 – Lakota Blue

It is likely that Monty Man will leave his debut effort behind him today and he isn’t discounted but the pair to appeal most are Braveheart Boy and LAKOTA BLUE. The former went close at Redcar on debut and will have learned plenty for that experience but the selection ran into a useful sort at Haydock before running very well in the Coventry Stakes last time. He can take full advantage of this ease in grade.

18:50 – Enraged

This should be run at a strong pace and ENRAGED, who wasn’t able to show what she was capable of in the closing stages at Beverley last time, may be the one to capitalise. Sixcor and Jungle Bee (second choice) may provide the stiffest resistance.

19:20 – Elzaal

Quanah will be a danger to all if the ground were to ride good or slower. Hot Scoop and Marwari are respected but ELZAAL ran creditably at Ripon last month and he should appreciate the return to a stiffer track.

19:50 – Dandys Angel

Support for the well-handicapped Proton on his first start for Tristan Davidson would be significant. Most of the others are difficult to win with, including bottom-weight DANDY’S ANGEL, but John Wainwright’s 5yo mare is at least in good form and has the added bonus today of Ryan Sexton’s claim. She gets the verdict ahead of Scheggi, Dr Rio (second choice) and Hostelry.

20:20 – Global Spirit

Dianne Sayer saddles two tough course regulars in Detective and Jackhammer and both have plenty to recommend them. Strongbowe and Arranmore lurk on dangerous marks but GLOBAL SPIRIT (nap) ran creditably in a stronger race here ten days ago and may not face much competition for the early lead.

20:50 – Pretty Bouquet

Rechercher would hold strong claims if reproducing May’s Goodwood second but she didn’t last time and she might prove vulnerable again. First Snowfall should go well but PRETTY BOUQUET shaped with plenty of promise amidst her greenness on debut and she can put that experience to good use.
