17:33 Dal Mallart
Dal Mallart, a half-sister to the very smart Dal Harraild, has shown run-by-run improvement this season on Timeform’s figures, winning at Bath on her penultimate outing and then producing an even better effort in defeat at Nottingham last time. Dal Mallart shaped nicely to finish third in a race that looked like a competitive contest of its type and is form to view positively. She has gone up only 1 lb for that effort and, with further improvement to come, holds strong claims.

18:08 Queen Me
The fillies with experience don’t set an exacting standard so it might be worth siding with Queen Me, a well-bred newcomer who is in good hands with Kevin Ryan. Queen Me is out of Lowther winner Queen Kindly, while that one’s dam Lady of The Desert also won the Lowther, so there is plenty of speed in her pedigree.
18:38 Abu Malek
Abu Malek made a successful start in a six-furlong novice at Doncaster last season on his only appearance for Richard Fahey and he shaped with plenty of promise when runner-up on his first outing for Kevin Philippart de Foy in a five-furlong novice at the same venue four weeks ago. Abu Malek is entitled to come on from that encouraging effort and has more to offer for a yard that does well with its recruits, so he can make a winning handicap debut.
19:08 True Jem
True Jem proved better than ever when scoring at Goodwood a few weeks ago, keeping on well to register a length-and-three-quarter success, and that form has worked out well. The second and third both won next time out, so a 5 lb rise in the weight should not stop True Jem from following up.
19:38 Inanna
Inanna unseated her rider on the way to the start on her debut at Haydock last month but she proved professional in the race, registering a narrow success after staying on well to lead close home. The third home subsequently won at Lingfield and finished placed in the Chesham, offering a boost to the form, and Inanna looks up to defying a penalty for the in-form Sean Woods.

20:08 Lattam
It could be worth siding with Lattam on his debut for the in-form William Haggas yard. Haggas has his team in flying form – he sent out a four-timer at Haydock on Thursday – and Lattam makes some appeal on paper being a half-brother to the useful Motawaajed, a three-time winner for the yard last season.
20:40 Golden Apollo
Golden Apollo hasn’t won since landing the Ayr Gold Cup in 2019 but he’s dropped a long way in the weights and has been shaping like capable of taking advantage. He was a creditable fourth in a big-field handicap at York on his penultimate start and then caught the eye when fifth at Pontefract last time, faring best of those held up. He could be worth siding with as he drops in class here.
