This looks a match between Cuban Mistress and MIAMI GIRL. The former made a bold bid when a clear second under a penalty at Bath two weeks ago and is open to more progress, but preference is for Newmarket winner MIAMI GIRL, who ran a big race to finish fifth in the Queen Mary at Royal Ascot last week and sets a high standard on that form.

15:20 – Tyrrhenian Sea (nap)
A good-quality renewal but one that could turn tactical with none of the four runners renowned for making the running. Modern News (second choice) and My Oberon are proven Group performers with strong claims in a Listed race. However, for all that TYRRHENIAN SEA (nap) is facing his stiffest test to date, the potential is there for him to more than hold his own and dropping back to 1m should be just the ticket for this strong traveller.
15:55 – Trais Fluors
All six runners have claims, though none are outstanding. When also factoring in that there could be a distinct lack of pace, this is very trappy. TRAIS FLUORS perhaps has the least to prove and is preferred to the downgraded Misty Grey.

The most striking performance last time out was that by LIVERPOOL KNIGHT here, in turn further enhancing his progressive profile. The Whipmaster has come a long way in a short space of time but this is a big rise in class for him and the danger could be the admirable Lucander.

It would be no surprise should Fiscal Policy make an impression on his belated debut, as he’s got a decent pedigree and this is weak. However, without market clues it makes sense to trust the formbook and, if settling in the first-time hood, WHATS IN THE BAG can confirm Bath placings with Stella’s Charlie.
