Some nice types in here, particularly the newcomer Dower House who is a sister to Churchill. However, stablemate NEVER ENDING STORY (nap) is preferred after a nice debut here last month and with the prospect of her coming on for that run, she’s the one to beat. Aspen Grove caught the eye on debut and should improve over this longer trip.
18:08 – Dandyville
This is competitive but it might be worth taking a chance on DANDYVILLE who was in fine form last season and he can come on from his seasonal reappearance last time out. Recent winner Bobby K is feasibly treated from a 5lb higher mark and Camdeboo should appreciate a return to a quicker surface.

This is competitive. The return to 1m6f looks sure to suit Camorra but he needs to bounce back, while Gear Up has his chance if able to cope with this new trip. Wordsworth is arguably the class act and should prove hard to beat if at his best, but he needs to get over the exertions of Ascot, so with that in mind, it may prove dividends to side with MASTER OF REALITY. He relishes these sorts of contests and this looks a stepping stone onto bigger targets.
19:18 – Alma Libre
A wide-open renewal of the Apprentice Derby and a case can be made for most of these. The tentative selection goes to the lightly-raced ALMA LIBRE who has looked promising this term and she gives the impression she will improve for a longer trip. Common Practice is another who might appreciate a stronger stamina test on his first try at 1m4f. The in-form Radzan is another that should be involved again.

19:53 – Dunum
A typical Curragh handicap where a case be made for half the field. DUNUM makes most appeal and is riding on the crest of a wave at the minute following two recent successes, and he could prove too good for some for some of these if continuing his recent form. Last time out winner Morning Approach is in cracking form this season and should go well. Corky is interesting after a good Down Royal run, while Slieve Bearnagh, Miss Cunning, Barrys Rock and Bears hug are others who can play a hand.
20:28 – Maze Runner
This is a cracking renewal. Dalton Highway has won the last two running’s of this and is sure to be back with another bold showing. The Jam Man is intriuging back in this sphere, as is Run For Oscar and Dollar Value. Kazakdaria and Dancila are sure to relish this step up in trip, while Montys Way was impressive at Killarney. But this can go to MAZE RUNNER, who was in fine form when last seen on the Flat and has the champion jockey booked.
