Each and every day of the racing year we bring you a bumper NAPs table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.

WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

Don’t know what a NAPs table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.

So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets). The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the table. Let’s get to the bets.

Hamilton

14:45 Newcastle – Irish Admiral (On The Nose, Expert Eye)

Record of just 1-10 on turf but IRISH ADMIRAL ran creditably in the Lincoln on reappearance; below par in cheekpieces in the Spring Cup last time; headgear now discarded; 2-2 on AW and looks interesting back in this sphere.

16:20 Newmarket – Nuvolari (Mirror Online, Melissa Jones)

Good-ground 2yo novice winner (unraced on faster) who was a promising fourth at Goodwood (1m, soft) last month in his second handicap; NUVOLARI ran better than his finishing position of eighth suggests at Epsom last time (7f, good; short of room late on) and this 3yo retains potential now back up to 1m.

18:15 Leicester – I Am The Sea (Daily Telegraph, Marlborough)

Below market expectations on his first two starts but hails from a family that tends to improve with age and this stiffer test should suit now handicapping at a sensible level; I AM THE SEA will be 3lb higher from Saturday and is high on the shortlist.

20:30 Hamilton – The Thin Blue Line (Daily Record, Garry Owen)

Close to a career-high mark, but THE THIN BLUE LINE finished well for second off this figure at Musselburgh (5f, good) 18 days ago and that form brings him right into it; consistent and has won in a small field before.
