17:20 – Global Tycoon

Lord Cherry will be popular after his improved effort at Yarmouth 13 days ago and today’s trip could prompt further progress. Golden Whisper ran well last time and is respected, while Tiare also has handicap form that brings her right into the reckoning. There are some interesting handicap debutants on show though and GLOBAL TYCOON may prove best of them. Volenti is another who hasn’t shown his hand just yet.

17:50 – Luckyboylovelywife

Plenty have possibilities but the one that appeals most is LUCKYBOYLOVELYWIFE, who really got her act together with a dominant display in a Beverley maiden last week and is open to more progress on her handicap debut. James Fanshawe’s handicap newcomer Queen Of Navarre is feared most, though Alcazan made it 5-14 on AW when scoring here two weeks ago and she’s respected back up in trip. The others on the shortlist are Inclement Weather and Smiling Sunflower.

18:20 – Betweenthesticks

The leading contender is BETWEENTHESTICKS, who was knocking on the door in his two runs last month and had an excuse on slow ground at Brighton 15 days ago. He now goes up in trip but he’s out of a 1m Polytrack winner and is a big player if he bounces back to near his best on this switch to AW. Bellazzo caught the eye with his strong finish at Windsor on his debut and he’s feared most, ahead of Hurtle, who also looks a likely improver on his second start. The most interesting newcomer is George Boughey’s Hadley Park.

18:50 – Explicit

New Definition ran into a useful sort at Leicester three weeks ago and he is greatly respected on his first crack at 6f. Asfour can leave his debut behind in time but EXPLICIT impressed at York 12 days ago and, while that was only a seller, the effort was backed up by the clock. He can complete his hat-trick.

19:20 – Western Winter (NAP)

Royal Aviation might find things easier here than at Nottingham and he is respected despite having taken a steep rise in the weights. WESTERN WRITER (nap) is only just embarking on his handicap career, though, and the return to 1m looks sure to suit after a workmanlike 7f win at Chelmsford. Prism should come on for her recent reappearance here and is next on the list.

19:50 – Najeeba

Top of the list is the Charltons’ progressive filly NAJEEBA, who made it 3-5 with her emphatic win over 1m4f at Wolverhampton in April and is a major player again back on Polytrack after a short break. Jasmine Joy still has potential and she’s feared most for a yard that has won this four times since 2014. Third choice is Scampi, who didn’t get the rub of the green against a pace bias at Newbury last time and still looks feasibly treated on his best form.

20:20 – Riggsby

Vin Rouge was a wide-margin winner at Lingfield recently and he looks dangerous under a penalty but this will take more winning and it might be worth giving RIGGSBY another chance on Polytrack. He still looked to have a bit up his sleeve from a handicapping angle when winning at Newcastle in January and perhaps was ready for a break when not quite at his best in February. Bumper winner Maridadi is also interesting now handicapping.
