Great as it would be for Pettochside to add another success to his haul, he may prove vulnerable for win purposes in a competitive race. Under Curfew (second choice), Lihou and Q Twenty Boy all have something to recommend them but SON AND SANNIE (nap) might be able to maintain his unbeaten partnership with Harry Davies.
14:45 – Delirious Dream
Breath Catcher would be the one to beat if her Hilary Needler form can be repeated as she is in receipt of weight all round. It may be that DELIRIOUS DREAM and Bingley Crocker are the pair to focus on though and the former, who ran well over C&D two weeks ago, is taken to come out on top.

This testing 1m raises a slight question for MORGHOM whose dynamic winning 1m debut at Newbury was followed by a less satisfactory one over 7f there when seeing too much daylight and fading after racing freely. He can get more cover from this draw and really ought to be a big player at this level. Epsom didn’t suit Carolus Magnus at the Derby meeting but these conditions can suit better and he could be the main danger ahead of Dubai Mirage and Rousay.
15:45 – Asaassi
Judged on his last-time-out Kempton effort in a race that’s worked out well, ASAASSI holds very strong claims. American Flag, another colt whose form has substance, is feared most. The selection’s owner is also represented by newcomer Makfoul, who needs a market check.

16:20 – Al Azhar
The improving AL AZHAR is 2-3 this season and his form has substance. He may be able to defy an 8lb rise and win again. First Officer, who should build on his latest effort, is feared most.
16:50 – Super Superjack
The return to 1m6f is not necessarily ideal for SUPER SUPERJACK but his sights are lowered after a stout York run against one who has won easily since and he may well get away with it. Praiano lacks a recent run but he surely has a good run in him on his best 2021 efforts. Dancing Harry is third on the list.
