17:25 – Eton Blue
The two at the bottom of the weights, The Bay Warrior and Sun Festival, come into this in good heart and it wouldn’t be a surprise if they went well. Charlie Arthur (second choice) showed he could do it on turf last time and represents last year’s winning stable, but preference is for ETON BLUE who has been running with plenty of credit since returning in April and the form of his latest Sandown third has since been boosted. Militry Decoration is another to consider.
WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!
18:00 – A Taste Of Honey
A few of these have already shown a good level of ability including Woolhampton (second choice) and Tessa, but A TASTE OF HONEY appeared to achieve the most when second on her Doncaster debut this month. She is likely to be even sharper with that experience behind her for last year’s winning stable. A market move for any of the newcomers should be noted.
18:35 – Liftoff
Having already run well against some useful rivals, Zephina sets the standard but she is 0-5 and may be vulnerable to an improving type. The market suggested better was expected from LIFTOFF on her Doncaster debut, but she looked badly in need of the experience and with that run under her belt she can show her true worth this time. Many of the debutantes come from yards whose newcomers tend to need their first outings, but Sparkling Beauty is an exception and market support for her would be significant.
19:10 – Zain Nights
C&D winners Grand Scheme and Frontispiece (second choice) are unlikely to be far away but the candidate with the most potential is ZAIN NIGHTS (nap). The Charltons’ 3yo receives plenty of weight all round, should be suited by today’s extra yardage and is partnered by the promising Harry Davies for the first time.

19:40 – Flag High
The drop in class could result in a better performance from Dreaming, who had possible excuses for his last two efforts on the AW. Despite a 3lb rise Stockpyle (second choice) is a serious player having come so close to breaking his duck at Sandown 11 days ago, but preference is for FLAG HIGH who has shown plenty of ability in his last three starts since the hood went on and did well to finish fourth at Goodwood last time, despite being all over the place on that tricky course. He should find this more conventional track much more to his liking.

20:10 – Touchwood
After three successive second places, TOUCHWOOD deserves a change of luck and he may defy top weight. It’s possible to construct a case for most of the others, with Afta Party, Alablaq, Mercurius Power and Eton College preferred in that order.
20:40 – Libertus
Market support for the unexposed Olivetti, who reappears in a hood after nearly 11 months off, would be noteworthy, but a safer choice is another 3yo, LIBERTUS. James Fanshawe’s son of Equiano went close on his handicap debut at Lingfield and can go one better. Second choice is the thriving Rainbow Mirage, with Amathus also worth a mention.
