Don’t know what a NAPs table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.
So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets). The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the table. Let’s get to the bets.
FLOTUS was a good second in the Cheveley Park Stakes on final 2yo start. Below that form in two Listed contests this season, latest at Haydock where she went close but was beaten by a much lower-rated filly.
PIZZA BIANCA raced against some European fillies in North America last year, finishing second at Woodbine then going one better in Breeders’ Cup event at Del Mar. Straightforward task at Pimlico last month, taking form figures to 12121. Midway down this field on ratings but may not have reached her peak.
HEREDIA won both 2yo starts and defied trouble in running to reel in Espressoo on reappearance in a handicap at York last month. Dam was a 1m Group 3 winner and this unbeaten filly, who has a Group 1 Falmouth entry, could have more to offer now upped to 1m.
LYSANDER was a promising third on sole 2yo run and made a winning return at Newcastle in April. Close third of six in Goodwood Listed race last month and, although improvement is needed, he’s lightly raced and open to further progress for last year’s winning trainer.
