17:12 – Time Quest

Today’s drop back in trip could be the right move for Asean Legend, who raced too freely over 1m2f when fourth in a strong Chester maiden last month, but TIME QUEST made a very promising debut at Ripon three weeks ago and gets the nod. Marhaba The Champ has fitness to prove after a nine-month absence but he’s also a good prospect.

17:47 – Dandys Gold

Iris Dancer has been very consistent since joining Tristan Davidson last summer, but she seems best suited by a stiff test at 6f and might be vulnerable off a career-high mark here. The oldest runner in the line-up DANDYS GOLD posted a good effort in a big field at Doncaster two weeks ago and is taken to end a lengthy losing run.

18:22 – Havana Party

This may be fought out by last-time-out winners HAVANA PARTY and Flying Moon, who both have promising apprentice jockeys booked today. Slight preference is for Iain Jardine’s runner, who seems to have responded very positively to the addition of cheekpieces this spring.

18:57 – Witham River

Grand Canal is 2lb ahead of the handicapper after a good effort in a competitive 1m4f Sunday Series race at Musselburgh 12 days ago, but his stamina for today’s trip is not copper-bottomed and an interesting alternative is WITHAM RIVER, who shaped with promise when upped to 2m at Ripon at the start of this month and could have untapped potential as a stayer. Spantik ran as though something was amiss last time but will be dangerous if back on song.

19:32 – Latin Five (NAP)

After finding himself stuck behind a wall of horses, LATIN FIVE (nap) displayed a good burst of speed in the final furlong to win off a much reduced mark at Ripon 16 days ago. He can defy a 5lb rise in this lower-grade race. Bridgetown has become expensive to follow but had an excuse for his latest defeat and continues to lurk on a dangerous mark. Sixcor has struck form in cheekpieces recently but it’s curious that the headgear is left off today. Significant rain would bring Quanah right into the reckoning.

20:05 – Cosa Sara

Otto Oyl is unpenalised for the second of his two recent soft-ground wins, but conditions are likely to be much quicker today and COSA SARA is also in very good form. Jim Goldie’s filly saw her race out well when scoring at Hamilton on Wednesday and, with a promising 7lb claimer Gianluca Sanna booked today, she can collect her third C&D success of the campaign.

20:37 – Yaaser

Most of these have something to prove and the one that stands out is Jim Goldie’s progressive hat-trick seeker YAASER, who had plenty in hand when beating a clear second over C&D 18 days ago. The main danger is Swinging Eddie, who is on his last winning mark and was a good third at Catterick on his reappearance last month.
